Meal vouchers

Meal vouchers, without booklets and without lost change

A card topped up each month, capped per day, accepted only at affiliated food merchants. The employee pays the exact amount; you no longer handle printing, distribution or expired vouchers at the back of a drawer.

Daily cap enforced at the till

The cap you set is checked at the transaction. Above it, payment is declined or topped up by the employee — never corrected after the fact.

Automated monthly top-up

The month's credit goes out based on your headcount and the number of working days you apply, with no re-keying each cycle.

Restricted acceptance

Only merchants whose activity matches the permitted categories can take the voucher. The scope is a rule, not a guideline.

The exact amount, every time

Paper forced rounding: a 40-dirham voucher for a 32-dirham meal, and the difference was lost. The card debits what is owed, to the dirham, and the rest goes towards the next meal.

Ins and outs reconcile themselves

Every top-up and every spend carries its timestamp, its beneficiary and its merchant. Accounting reconciliation runs off an export, not off a pile of receipts.

One month's cycle

  1. Declare the beneficiaries

You keep the list of eligible employees up to date, along with the number of days to credit each of them.

  2. Run the top-up

The monthly batch is prepared from that list, checked, then executed once approved.

  3. Track consumption

You see what was spent, where, and what remains on each card at month end.

Where they actually earn their place

Three common setups, and what the card changes in each.

Multi-site company

Distributed teams

No more booklets to ship site by site: the top-up is the same action for every branch, on the same day.

Variable headcount

Temporary and seasonal staff

Credit follows the days actually worked; a card is deactivated at the end of a contract with no leftover vouchers to collect.

Finance

Monthly close

One export per month, reconciled against the wallet debit, replaces manual tracking of issued and unused booklets.

Questions about meal vouchers

Where is the card accepted?

At affiliated merchants whose activity falls within the food categories permitted on your programme — restaurants and food retail. The network grows as merchants affiliate.

What if a meal exceeds the daily cap?

The portion covered by the cap is debited from the card; the employee pays the remainder by another means, depending on how the till is configured.

Is an unused monthly balance lost?

That depends on how your programme is configured: whether a balance carries over from one month to the next is decided at setup, as is how long the credit stays valid.

How do we handle someone joining or leaving mid-month?

The beneficiary is added to or removed from the list and the credit is prorated to the days applied. On departure, the card is deactivated from the portal.
